I’m a Founder and Managing Partner of International Expat Psychologists - Taya Slobodjaniuk

When I arrived a more than a decade ago in The Netherlands such title didn’t existed! I have been looking for someone who knows what it is to be an expat and a good knowledge how to help with those feelings. Myself – I was that person who can understand how to be an expat and to have the psychological knowledge to help them. I combined my education in Psychology and experiences living abroad as an expat to become an Expat Psychologist. I was the founder of the title and the first one here in the Netherlands in helping many expats and their spouses. On this moment I lead a successful International Practice with several amazing psychologist!


My education is very broad – Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology, Conflict Management, Child Psychology, Stress Management Coaching & Consultancy Professional, Occupational Psychology, Executive Coaching, and Masterclasses in Diagnosing & Treatment of the Gifted. Member of American Menthal Health Counselor Association (AMHCA). Member of European Association for Counselling (EAC).

Drs. Natalia Martínez García

I am a Spanish highly motivated psychologist, devoted in helping people who found themselves in difficult situations. I was born and bred in Barcelona, Spain and there, I obtained a Master degree.

Spanish & Catalan speaking psychologist

I have had the privilege to work with different groups of age, such as children, teenagers and adults, in different social and health care centers. My work has been mainly focused on the cognitive behavioral approach, however, I also apply other psychologist techniques, since every person and every situation required a special and different treatment. I conduct sessions in both, Spanish and Catalan.

I was born and bred in Barcelona, Spain. There, I obtained a Master degree in General Sanitary Psychology and a Postgraduate degree in Advances Clinical Psychopathology, where I had the opportunity to dive into applicable techniques to obtain a balanced mental health. I always have known that I wanted to dedicate my whole life to this profession, because for me is more than that, is my vocation.

Drs. Lidia Pardo Alba
I was born and raised in Spain, where I studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology. I conduct sessions in Spanish, English and Italian.

Alongside these two and other qualification – including presentation and attendance of conferences – I built up my professional career working in different settings, such as psychological services, associations and schools. There, I carried out individual, couple and family therapy of psychological disorders in the context of both, the own person’s development and his/her relationships with other sources of influence.

Since I became an expat myself when I arrived to The Netherlands 3 years ago, I progressively focused on psychological practice for expat population, implementing evidence-based treatments in an integrating way. I conduct sessions in Spanish (native), English and Italian.

Drs. Kelly Filippopoulou

I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Child and Adolescent psychologist (MSc). I offer my services as a child psychologist in English or Greek. Also with my expertise in ABA a behavior based & child led, fun approach, I offer my services as a consultant and as a direct care provider to children with special needs and autism.


I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Facing the big dilemma between teaching and psychology, I opted for the second. During my study in psychology, I started volunteering in different NGO’s and public therapeutic centers including internships in schools for children with special needs.

In the meantime, I got certified as a parent training coach, undertook a certificate in learning difficulties and disabilities offered by the University of Thessaly and got trained to work with children with autism.

Drs. Kendall Willems-Cygan

I moved to The Netherlands to complete my second Master’s Degree, in counseling psychology (MA). I also am registered as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and NIP – The Dutch Association of Psychologists. I believe that each client needs an individualized treatment according to their own story. My goal is to blend all of my knowledge together to best help the client reach their full potential.

Being an expat myself gives me an advantage to understanding other expat students and their unique needs. My main goal is to aid individuals in overcoming their obstacles and challenges alongside changing negative thinking to increase self awareness and produce life transformations. Working with clients brings a great importance on providing a safe therapeutic environment. I find that the greatest success comes from using positive approaches and methods in therapy. I am here to provide guidance for you!

As a student-athlete, I embraced being a team player and the lessons learned from managing your time efficiently between school and sports. After graduating, I explored an area of psychology working with children with autism. This was my first Master’s degree (MSc). My interest did not stop there, with the urge to pursue my passion of helping others.
